What are the Ucilia Advantages?

Calling
Save while you hear the people you call! You can make calls using the Ucilia desktop phone or phone adaptors. Even if you don't have any Ucilia hardware you can still use the Ucilia U-Conference from our web site. You can connect from 2 to 24 people and put them all in the same conference room! We do not only insure maximum call reliability but also that you see the number of the calling party (CALLER ID). We are directly interconnected with many of the historical telecommunications providers avoiding useless intermediaries that will create delays and loss of quality.

Phone Numbers
A Ucilia line without a Phone Number can make calls to the world and receive calls only from other Ucilia members. Having a Phone Number gives you a new ability: you can now receive calls from any telephone network (mobile, land line, satellite..). It adds value not only to you but to your partners, family or just about any parties that call you. A simple example: you are a company based in France and send salesmen to China. The French office can subscribe to a Chinese Phone Number allowing your salesmen to call you on this number at the cost of a local Chinese call, thus minimizing company expenses on international calls.
- Incoming calls are for free for a reasonable use (see our conditions);
- You will never miss a call: just add rules in the call management to have the calls sent where you want them;
- You can also activate Voice Mail to take calls for you. You will receive the message by email;
- The number is yours as long as you have the subscription;

Conferences Calls
With U-Conference, you can connect from 2 to 24 people simultaneously from the Ucilia web interface and put them all in one conference room. It will connect any number in the world, on any phone!

Call Management
Never miss a call again! Call management allows you to configure where your incoming calls will ring. You can have an incoming call be forwarded consecutively to up to four different numbers, as well as decide if you want to activate the 'Do Not Disturb' (DND), and finally decide if you want or not to send your calls to your Voice Mail to Email System.

SMS
Send SMS without limits! From the Ucilia website you can write SMSes that are as long as you want and send them to as many people as you want. The Ucilia SMS interface was designed for maximum comfort and practicality, you can directly paste the text and send. You can also check your SMS delivery reports.

Free voice mail to email
Usually when you receive a voice message you have to dial in to your provider to hear it, most of the times the call is not free. Ucilia has a different approach: each time someone leaves you a voice mail we will email to you a small file containing the audio message, all you have to do to listen to it is to open it! You can now save them and organize them the way you want. Your messages will be also stored on Ucilia's website for a period of time so you download them or listen to them again from there. You can access your voice mail from your Ucilia phone or any other traditional phone by calling the voice mail access numbers available from many countries.

IVR & Virtual Operator
You want to have an automated telephone answering system that gives a caller the ability to interact with your company just by using any telephone? A Virtual Operator (also known as IVR - Interactive Voice System) can make it happen! Tell us what your users need: send or retrieve information, interact with an application, record or play messages; we will develop a custom Virtual operator for all your needs. A virtual operator will help to dramatically decrease your cost of inquiry, sales and support. A typical example: It will guide your callers to the correct agent or play them an audio message to answer their common questions like the show times of a movie.

Vouchers
You can generate vouchers to use as top up cards to credit any Ucilia member.

Premium Rate Numbers
You want to sell a service by phone? Whether it is an information or entertainment service, Premium Rate Numbers (also known as – Value Added Numbers) are the solution. Callers will pay a surcharge when calling you and you will be paid for it. Premium Rates Numbers must be combined with a Virtual Operator for the maximum result.

Real time billing and reporting
Our Billing system is an accountant's dream! Real time Billing and statistics divided by user, time, destination, all exportable so you can import it in your favorite accounting software! This will give you a total control on your phone calls, not only will you know who is calling where, for how long, how many times, when, the call status for each call (answered, busy, number dialed wrong, ...) you will also have the logs of the incoming calls! This is very useful to track which customers call you the most, and if they call from abroad you could purchase a Phone Number from Ucilia to ease communication with them thus providing better customer care!

Caller ID management
You can decide which caller ID you want displayed on the called party's phone from the list of phone numbers you purchased. Alternatively you could decide to hide it. In some countries it is also possible to display caller ID of numbers you own, you will just need to show a proof that you are the owner for that particular number.

Organization phone book
Each Ucilia Organization has its own convenient phonebook. It contains the names and phone numbers of all the members belonging to that organization, making the process of finding names or phone numbers very easy.

Ucilia Directory
The Ucilia Directory is a public directory accessible to all Ucilia members. When you become a Ucilia member, whether you are private or corporate, you can choose if you want your contact information to be published and accessible, allowing other Ucilia users to call you for free from inside Ucilia network.

Simultaneous calls
Multiple simultaneous calls supported for incoming and outgoing: You can have as many Ucilia phones as you wish attached to the same user. If two or more Ucilia phones are configured the same way, upon receiving a call, all will ring simultaneously. The first one to be answered will take the call. For instance, you can have a support call center in Romania and one in China, when a client in need dials the number, the phones will ring simultaneously in both locations. The same applies for individuals having a phone in their home and their office. You can have as many simultaneous calls as you have Ucilia phones.

Easy to manage
We have implemented a very friendly to use system that allows you to organize all your users, numbers and hardware in any way you choose. It has all the features from an advanced telephony system but with a very easy set up and management. Whether it is for a large company, a family or an individual, by just right clicking with your mouse on any element in your organization, you can add users, add folders, buy all our services, configure and modify. There are also many wizards to help you configure your system for a quick start.

Who can benefit?

Corporate
Think of Ucilia as a portable office PBX with lots of features and services. Once your phones are connected to the internet you can use them to call or receive calls, and if they are not, Ucilia's call management can forward your calls to up to 4 numbers to any phone when you want it! This virtual PBX geography does not matter, you can take your phone anywhere! Each member can choose an Extension, we call them Extensions; they are 5 digit internal numbers like you would have in any private telephony system.

Families
A family is like a business when it comes to telephony! The family wants to keep a close control on the expenses. Calls between family members in the same organization are for free, and you can call each other using short numbers. Since phones are portable you can travel with them and be always reachable by your family for free!!
